What you'll do:
As a Senior Manager Data & Analytics - Revenue Operations your key area of responsibility will be to translate complex data into actionable, predictive, and prescriptive insights that drive efficiency, sustained growth, and profitability for both our robust subscription and increasingly important consumption-based models. With a deep understanding of the full sales cycle, this role encompasses lead-to-opportunity optimization, pipeline health, sales performance, Sales Forecasting and customer lifecycle analysis. This role will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, customer success, finance, product, and operations teams, fostering a unified and data-driven approach to business strategy and execution.You will also need to provide regular status reports to key partners to ensure the project is on time and meeting expectations. You will need to work closely across various team at Geotab.
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong technical and operations background, with analytical and project management and an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.
How you'll make an impact:
- Execute the advanced data and analytics strategy for Revenue Operations, aligning with overall business objectives and strategically enhancing both subscription and consumption revenue streams within an established market.
- Develop and deliver highly insightful reports and dashboards that track key revenue operations metrics, providing deep dives into ARR, NRR, Churn, LTV, CAC, Renewal Rates, Upsell/Cross-sell effectiveness, with historical trend analysis.
- Review usage patterns, Consumption velocity, Billing accuracy, Revenue recognition for usage-based models, and their long-term impact.
- Overall Sales Cycle efficiency, Pipeline health, Forecast accuracy, Campaign effectiveness, Customer health scores, and customer journey optimization.
- Proactively identify nuanced trends, complex opportunities, and potential risks within our extensive revenue data. Translate sophisticated analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable strategic recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional teams, driving organizational change and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development of highly accurate revenue forecasts and capacity planning using advanced analytical techniques and machine learning models where appropriate, building upon existing methodologies.
- Proactively identify and assess business problems across the full sales cycle (from lead to retention) where AI/ML solutions can drive significant value (e.g., improve forecast accuracy, reduce churn, optimize pricing, personalize customer journeys, automate manual tasks). Develop and maintain a roadmap for AI initiatives within Business Analytics, aligning with overall company strategic goals.
- Identify and implement significant opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains through data-driven insights, particularly focusing on optimizing established workflows for greater scale.
- Mentor, and lead a team of high-performing business analysts, fostering a culture of advanced data curiosity, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Product teams, ensuring data consistency, strategic alignment, and the effective use of data across the entire, mature organization
What you'll bring to the role:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or senior individual contributor role focused on Revenue Operations or Sales Operations in a large-scale, established SaaS environment.
- 5-8 years in a leadership or people management role.
- Excellent understanding and experience using Salesforce and G suite and bring a solid coding background.
- Demonstrated experience successfully supporting and optimizing both mature subscription (SaaS recurring revenue) and growing consumption-based (usage-based billing) business models.
- Experience with AI Tools & Platforms: At least 2-3+ years working with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g., Google AI Platform) and/or integrating AI capabilities into CRM/RevOps tools (e.g., Salesforce Einstein, Clari).
- Conducts a variety of personnel management activities, including but not limited to recruitment, selection, on-boarding, training, evaluation, and separation, according to Geotab policy and practice and in collaboration with leadership and Human Resources.
- Delivers, or ensures delivery, of initial orientation and training (including review of direct reports’ job descriptions), plus on-going training.
- Ensures availability of procedures, technology, and other resources necessary to conduct work activities; provides subject matter expertise as applicable.
- Provides timely, continuous recognition and feedback using objective, job-related data, and observations (including documented performance appraisals); timely initiates performance improvement opportunities in alignment with Geotab policy and practice.
- Develops and monitors professional development goals and objectives; assigns work and delegates authority appropriate for established, job-related duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.
- Develops, maintains, and enforces individual- and team-level performance expectations for deliverables; applies Geotab’s general standards of conduct.
