Geotab is seeking a Production Manager who will oversee the planning and implementation of our content and creative assets. What you'll do:

As a Production Manager you will play a vital role in coordinating team members and external partners to successfully execute services within defined timelines and budgetary constraints. This role involves overseeing external content, creative, and video vendors to ensure deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with the Geotab brand. Additionally, the Production Manager is responsible for maintaining detailed project estimates, securing internal approvals, and ensuring accurate invoicing in collaboration with Geotab Finance for efficient financial management.

How you'll make an impact

  • Accountable for delegation and management of work deliverables to inhouse Geotab departments; as well as external creative and production resources. 
  • Responsible for developing comprehensive briefs outlining budgets, timelines, and creative expectations; facilitating informed decisions on the allocation of in-sourced and out-sourced resources.
  • Manage and/or design the creation, review, and approval of content, ensuring consistency and alignment with company and brand goals.
  • Work closely with creative vendors to develop event branding, design elements, and marketing collateral. Ensure all creative outputs are visually compelling and on-brand.
  • Oversee the production elements of all video content related to the event, including promotional videos, speaker recordings, and live streaming. Ensure high production values and timely delivery.  This includes working with external and internal Geotab resources as may be assigned.  
  • Develop and manage detailed project timelines and milestones. Ensure all aspects of the event are on schedule.
  • Manage all requests for creative, content and video to ensure work is managed effectively. Ensure campaigns and tickets are created using Geotab's ticketing system (Wrike/Jira)  - tickets are kept current and closed when completed. 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of events or related services. 
  • Maintain clear communication and coordination among all stakeholders.
  • Align with the procurement team and run the procurement process with operations and finance for key suppliers, conduct periodic audits. 
  • Run RFP processes on key suppliers that have been identified as strategic (the RFP is meant to provide competitive pricing and align on execution).
  • Ensure that all suppliers to Geotab provide detailed quotes with reference numbers. 
  • Ensure that all invoices from those suppliers can be matched back to the quote for fluid accounts payable. 
  • Maintain reporting on financial performance related to project execution.
  • Conduct post-event/post-deliverable evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Ensure all event objectives were met and exceeded.
  • Flexible work from home schedule but required to be in office consistently to support various events.
  • 5 - 10 % Travel required for events (CAN & US).

What you'll bring to the role

  • 5-8 years of experience in project management, marketing, and/or brand management
  • Proficient with Wrike and/or Jira.
  • Vendor Management: Demonstrated experience managing external content, creative, and video vendors. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Project Management Skills: Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello), Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with video production tools.
