We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer who will work with all of Geotab's public Digital Customer Experience websites and tools. What you’ll do:

As a Full Stack Software Developer your key area of responsibility will be owning the front-end and back-end development and deployment of any Digital Customer Experience websites and tools. You will primarily program in Javascript, React, Node.JS to deliver clean and high-performing code while executing SQL queries to process information. As a Geotab developer you will be using Git source control system, Google Cloud interfaces and SDKs, build and debugging tools. You will excel in this role using your strong communication skills to collaborate with Geotab's Administration, Development, and Marketing teams on various projects.

How you'll make an impact
  • Carry out design, coding and unit testing in a variety of programming languages and environments.

  • Participate in the design and development of new product ideas, concepts, internal, peripheral or legacy web applications.

  • Provide proactive technical support to resellers, internal staff and customers.

  • Perform quality assurance by doing peer review, ensuring coding standards are followed, looking for logic errors and other bugs.

  • Assist in deployments to testing, staging and production environments.

  • Assist in troubleshooting issues including bugs and performance problems when needed.

  • Ensure web applications are optimized for mobile devices while keeping accessibility, scalability and Geotab’s brand guidelines in mind at all times.

What you'll bring to the role
  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Electrical or Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience with programming in JavaScript preferred (2-4 years of work experience).

  • Experience with React and/or Angular (2+ years of work experience) preferred.

  • Experience with Node.js, Next.js, Google Cloud Services (cloud function, CDN storage) preferred.

  • Experience in working with external APIs preferred.

  • Experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL is an asset.

  • Working knowledge of web services including REST and MVC is preferred

  • Solid understanding of object-orientated programming is required.

  • Working knowledge with Git and Jira is preferred.

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Electrical/Software Engineering or other related degrees.
