Who we are looking for
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking Partner Account Managers (Contractors) in Mexico City, Bogotá, or São Paulo (other locations also considered) to liaise with and provide technical support to Geotab partners and resellers. This role requires strong analytical skills with an ability to identify needs, determine effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. What are the details of this position
Working for an established North American company in a startup Latin American environment, the Partner Account Managers (Contractors) must possess the motivation, flexibility and persistence to drive the numbers of units locally deployed. You will be responsible for identifying, recruiting and developing sales opportunities in Latin America alongside partners for Geotab, the global leader in telematics technology. Geotab partners consist of wireless carriers, fleet management companies, OEM’s, and independent service enablers. You will monitor and update device orders and activity through Salesforce. You will work closely with the Account Management team, Technical Support Engineers, and Technical Solution Engineers to promote and educate on the Geotab platform and prepare for new product releases. In addition to Account Management, this position will occasionally attend trade shows, and assist Resellers in preparing go to market strategies and marketing plans.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated with strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills, and holds the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.
Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions
  • Manage relationship with local operating units of global telecom partners in local region: (1) Mexico and Colombia or (2) Brazil

  • Provide local support for other resellers in given regions in collaboration with remote account manager

  • Provide regular training sessions to key departments: Product, Pre-sales & Operations

  • Direct pre sales and launch support for key initiatives

  • Work with sales managers at reseller to create sales forecasts, identify tactics for specific opportunities, track and update opportunities through CRM

  • Assist reseller in determining realistic quarterly stretch goals aligned with their capabilities, including salesforce size, sophistication, incentivization, and buy-in to Geotab's solution

  • Coordinate the overall technical sales process

  • Participate in calls, web demonstrations and face to face technical demonstrations and presentations as part of the regular sales and channel development process.

  • Become a Geotab subject matter expert on the Geotab solutions and advocate Geotab products to large wireless carrier staff from support staff to management as well as end user (customers)

  • Localize and fine tune Geotab solutions and reports

  • Support Automotive department in Reverse Engineering processes with South American vehicles

  • Pilot management and RFP and ROI support with large customers

  • Determine the processes to identify good resellers, keep them active, foster sales, and reduce churn

Experience/Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration

  • Native fluency in local language, (Spanish or Portuguese) and full written and spoken professional proficiency in English

  • 4+ years of business-to-business complex sales experience 

  • Experience with sales with a technical or software product

  • Detail oriented with experience in daily use of lead management and CRM 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining short response and resolution times 

  • Proven ability to work in dynamic work environments with limited supervision to deliver results

  • Outstanding customer-focused Account Management skills including presentation, facilitation, communication and negotiation skills

  • Agile and able to travel throughout the region at short notice
