Technical Product Training Specialist

Deliver and facilitate Geotab product training and education via live classroom, onsite training, video conference and one-on-one training for employees globally.
Design and develop creative, high-quality, interactive product learning content for remote and classroom training, including lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, videos, practical exercises, engaging activities, training handouts and evaluations.
Ensure all recurring product learning programs are updated on a regular basis to encompass program, product, service delivery, procedural and technology changes.
Work with tight deadlines and provide valuable input on projects to enhance and customize product training processes that exceed operational needs.
Develop effective project plans to facilitate the building of learning programs and curriculum to close gaps identified.
Ensure all product orientation content is current, engaging and impactful and makes a first impression and experience that matches Geotab’s branding.
Determine the overall effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Create engaging learning content, activities, and compelling course curriculum through the application of adult instructional design principles.
Provide practice and activities that enhance the learning process combined with supporting material/media (audio, video, role-plays, games, etc.) to foster an effective and hands-on learning environment.
Devise assessment, such as tests or knowledge checks and feedback forms, to measure the effectiveness of the programs along with suggestions and recommendations on how to leverage that data to improve the efficacy of learning content.
Collaborate with key business partners and teams to research, recommend appropriate tools or training as well as coordinate and schedule training-related events.
Develop and implement globally aligned onboarding and technical training programs for employees globally.
Coordinate, facilitate and oversee internal training sessions on Geotab products.
Partner and collaborate with the Learning & Development Department, leaders, teams and SMEs to ensure all product training content is current and engaging.
Support communication of training initiatives throughout the organization.
Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree Specialization in Technical Training, Education, Adult Learning, Learning & Development or a related field.
Professional certification in training is highly valued.
Minimum of 5 years of professional training experience is required.
Experience designing technical product training course content.
Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects.
Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
Knowledge of adult training principles and concepts, instructional methods and training techniques including learning theory, group and individual teaching techniques, instructional and assessment strategies.
Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory.
Passion for teaching, motivating and coaching, with the ability to create and sustain strong working partnerships with all stakeholders across the organization.
Excellent organizational skills, high attention to quality, detail and accuracy, combined with the ability to manage multiple high priority tasks.
Flexible and adaptable, able to embrace and champion change at short notice.

Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Possess strong organizational skills and be able to balance roles in order to drive efficiency and delivery across multiple strategic priorities.
