We are currently seeking an Internal Auditing and Risk Management Intern to assist with all audit activity within the organization. Additionally, this person will assist with the creation of the overall audit program. If you love technology and are interested in joining a leading technology company, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll do

In this role, you will assist with developing the audit program to include the identification of risks and controls, scoping, development and application of appropriate audit programs based on functional needs. You will work closely with the Audit team to help provide the Support organization (and Geotab Clients) with access to necessary audit reports generated by Geotab auditors or by partner audit reports and, finally, executive reporting and post-audit procedures. You will work closely with Operations and Compliance members.

How you'll make an impact
  • Work with the Enterprise Risk Management Program, assessing what issues present the greatest possible risk to Geotab

  • Prioritize and plan/execute through collaboration with internal functional SME’s all financial and non-financial audit activity within the company

  • Assist with audit reports on findings/observations with remediation recommendations that have been socialized among the functional owners, and accepted.

  • Influence Functional Subject Matter Experts, to prioritizing risk closure and mitigation control implementation

  • Consult on controls throughout the business that will ensure the business integrates compliance into daily processes

  • Liaise closely with the Finance Internal Auditor to leverage testing and results from Finance to reconcile with operational controls and obligations (ex. Expense management evidence to document compliance with Gifts & Entertainment Policy Controls)Establish and deliver the central repository for both restricted and public facing (ex. SOC Bridge Letters) documentation related to metrics and monitoring results for all audit relevant audit activity

What you'll bring to this role
  • Completing a Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • Work experience, volunteer experience or course work with audit programs, leading audits, preferably with a mix of external and internal audit experience is considered a major asset

  • Experience working on sizeable projects

  • Working towards CPA designation an asset

  • Strong Project Management skills
