Geotab is seeking a Product Manager who will direct product development from conception to launch and is responsible for discovering, developing and carefully cultivating new products and on-going product enhancements that support Geotab’s business models and global expansion into Australia. What you’ll do:
As a Product Manager your key area of responsibility will be to understand and build Geotab’s customer and market intelligence in Australia to help shape the product vision to have an impact in the market. This position will ultimately build Geotab’s customer intelligence by identifying which ideas and opportunities should be promoted into features and products to better support our customers needs in the region and to push Geotab’s product strategy forward. You will need to work closely with customers, resellers & internal teams such as sales, customer success, and support to capture further insights. To be successful in this role you will have reliable problem solving skills, strong business aptitude, creativity, excellent communication and acute perception.
How you’ll make an impact
Perform customer discovery interviews with prospective & existing customers in the region to identify product gaps and generate news ideas to help grow market share & overall improve Geotab’s customer experience and continued product offerings.
Leverage various research methodologies, market trends and customer inputs to identify common patterns, pain points, problems to be solved/jobs to be done and use this to identify relevant solution opportunities/product efforts.
Prioritize building what matters most by balancing short term sales targets with long term strategic investments for the business.
Collaboratively define and drive reporting and monitoring mechanisms against set product outcomes and use them as a tool to measure continued success of product efforts (both qualitative and quantitative).
Collaborate with other product managers on designing and executing market feedback loops and incorporate into product planning.
Prioritize epics relative to technical debt and other company product investments.
Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and internal teams to continuously make improvements to products that are launched.
Focus on understanding and representing end to end customer journey as part of product planning from the first interaction through to support & post sales activities.
What you’ll bring to this role
3+ years product management experience in new markets, B2B & multi product an asset.
Experience in a SaaS environment is highly valued.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self starter, resourceful with strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
Strategic mindset, with a keen sense of priorities, along with an ability to pivot as the landscape changes.
Strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
Experience with reporting or business analysis.
Experience leveraging customer success tools (i.e., Salesforce) an asset.
Strong organizational skills to be able to manage products through discovery to launch and continuous review.
Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
