What you'll do

Being an integral part of the sales team, you will get the chance to help us to continue to deliver sector leading growth.

As a Business Development Manager, your key focus areas will be identifying, engaging with and signing new strategic partners as well as identifying and forging relationships with end customer opportunities prior to introduction to a channel partner.

How you'll make an impact
  • Prospect, research,identify and hunt new business opportunities for assigned markets and verticals.

  • Create, evaluate, and implement strategic business plans for the growth and development of opportunities within the assigned market for both potential partners and strategic end customers

  • Initiate and manage the end-to-end process as the subject matter expert (SME) to build, qualify and establish cooperative contracts for Geotab’s sales channels to execute against.

  • Ensure onboarded partners are set up for success in the short and long term.

  • Devise and deploy all business development goals and objectives pertaining to the assigned market including the preparation of sales targets and budgets.

  • Qualify and prioritize the localisation of global Geotab relationships.

  • Monitor and update business development activity within associated tools and maintain a pipeline of activity through the development of partners, contracts, and resellers.

  • Through outbound market research and analysis, target new Partners that fill a need, market segment, or a price point and that align with the vision and mission.

  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop Geotab’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

  • Provide expert guidance as SME: Develop a deep knowledge base of the industry and maintain top-of-mind awareness of trends and shifts, stay informed on the current competitive landscape in the category including leaders and startups, attend trade shows and speak at conferences to build relationships, brand presence, and thought leadership and identify potential new business opportunities and be available to Partner Account Managers (PAMs) & Resellers to educate and share knowledge as SME.

  • Support the development of marketing initiatives to develop brand awareness and Geotab offerings for the assigned market.

  • Provide input on new business opportunities, competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment.

  • Collaborate with managers to develop short and long term strategic plans.

  • Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.

What you'll bring to this role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias to action

  • +3 years of experience in Sales, Business Development or a similar role.

  • Proven track record in developing new sales and accounts. Experience in the automotive SaaS industry preferred but not required.

  • Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.

  • Able to anticipate and understand customer’s needs and provide viable solutions.

  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.

  • A team player with a strong willingness to cooperate and bring value to the team and our business.

  • Data driven approach and ability to understand data to decide on the appropriate course of action.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English, Dutch is a plus.

  • Passionate about technology, mobility and EV.

  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
